Robotic Coding Workshop Plan

Robotic Coding Workshop Plan

Robotic coding workshops offer an excellent environment for students to develop creative thinking, problem-solving, and technology skills. Good planning and structuring is necessary for a successful robotic coding workshop. As Teknomakerlab, we have compiled the steps to be considered in the installation of a robotic coding workshop for you.

1. Goal Setting

Set clear goals for your workshop's purpose and audience:

  • Educational Objectives: What skills do you aim to provide students with? Such as basic coding knowledge, robotics engineering principles, or advanced algorithms.
  • Target Audience: Determine the age group and knowledge level of the students who will participate in the workshop. Such as elementary school students, high school students, or adults.

2. Curriculum and Content Development

Create curricula and content to be used in the educational process:

  • Core Topics: Prepare lesson plans that cover basic topics such as robotic coding, sensors and actuators, electronic circuits, etc.
  • Practical Applications: Plan projects and activities so that students can put theoretical knowledge into practice.

3. Material and Equipment Selection

Determine the materials and equipment to be used in the workshop:

  • Robot Kits: Choose robotics kits such as Lego sets, Arduino kits, etc.
  • Computers and Tablets: Provide the necessary devices for coding and programming.
  • Sensors and Motors: Provide sensors and motors that students can use in their projects.

4. Workshop Space & Hardware

Prepare the physical space in which the workshop will take place:

  • Study Areas: Provide desks and chairs where students can work comfortably.
  • Electricity and Internet: Provide the necessary electrical outlets and internet connection.
  • Storage Areas: Create storage areas where materials can be stored in an organized manner.

5. Schedule and Timing

Plan the workshop schedule and timing:

  • Class Hours: Set weekly class times and ensure that students attend regularly.
  • Events & Competitions: Organize events and robotics competitions to increase student motivation.

6. Evaluation and Feedback

Regularly assess students progress and the success of the workshop:

  • Project Evaluations: Evaluate students' projects and provide feedback.
  • Feedback Collection: Improve the workshop by regularly collecting feedback from learners and trainers.
